Who is Nicolás Maduro?
Nicolás Maduro has been the President of Venezuela since 2013. Maduro was hand-picked to be the successor of the former President, Hugo Chavez. Chavez was a Venezuelan Socialist President that was extremely popular and for a long time had the support of the country. Maduro started out as a bus driver in Caracas and worked his way up through Chavez’s political movement.

Maduro has been accused by the U.S. of Narco Terrorism. Why Have They Captured Maduro?
U.S. Officials claim Maduro was captured because of new charges that have been recently added as supplements to existing charges that include something for every prefix of the word “trafficking,” as well as weapons charges and a conspiracy charge for something called “narco-terrorism.” During his presidency, Trump took Maduro to be a danger for U.S. and the surrounding countries.
Donald Trump stated it was about time that the U.S. prevented Venezuela from being a safe place for the streamers of crime, enemies of the nation, and the promoters of world war—icebreakers and allies of Venezuela being linked to Russia, China, and Cuba.
Have They Ever Bombed Venezuela?
U.S. airstrikes have been confirmed to have been used against military targets in the vicinity of the capital, sovereignty of which they claim to possess, Caracas. However, the White House is attempting to assure that it is a mission within a limited country, not a country without war. They have not confirmed that they have killed a lot of people.
Reports indicate that elite U.S. military units, including Delta Force and 160th SOAR (Night Stalkers), along with naval units associated with the USS Iwo Jima, are involved in the mission.

Currently, Maduro is in the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, and he is expected to receive federal charges that he will have to deal with. Cilia Flores, his spouse, is also in detention.
